Took a nice day trip to San Fran yesterday. We were able to cover almost all of the main tourist attractions (I'd seen a lot of them, but it'd been awhile so we figured we might as well). We started at Coit Tower, and worked our way through Pier 39, Ghiradelli Square, Lombard Street, and the Golden Gate Bridge. Then we wrapped up the day by sitting in THE WORST traffic I've ever been in (I swear it took us over an hour to go 3 city blocks) getting onto the new Bay Bridge to cross over into Oakland for an A's game. Overall though, a very fun day. Saw this nice Alfa 2000 gtv on Telegraph Hill. And when we were walking on the GGB, 3 Ford GT's blew by us. It was awesome.

I'd love to see one Ford GT blow by me, let alone three. Awesome.

Traffic in the city during the day has become hellish. If you're a local you kind of know the shortcuts though. That Alfa. Oh, that Alfa.

Yea most of what I did that day was ride, but I got to take the wheel for a short stint. I love how the engine is about 4 inches from your head as you ride.

It's quite a car, for sure. You said you went to Ghiradelli Square. Does that have anything to do with delicious Ghiradelli chocolate?

Yea their original? factory is there. So theres a whole gift/chocolate shop. I believe they have an upstairs tour of the factory as well, but it wasn't open yesterday. But yes, free samples and all the Ghiradelli Chocolate you could ever imagine!

Their chocolates are absolutely wonderful. They also have boxed brownie mixes that are so gooey and unbelievably delicious. I keep a box in the freezer for when I need a quick dessert to take somewhere.

You picked possibly the worst day to go over the bridge - well, except the prior 5, when it was closed. I live right near the entrance on Bryant St. and it was jammed up until at least 10PM. I went running around 730 and was shocked at how much foot traffic there was as well - apparently, they must have been letting people walk the bridge or something.
